It’s after the long weekend and I have much to be thankful for. I’m reasonably healthy, I have a pretty good job here, and I’m able to enjoy some leisure activities on my days off, to name a few things. Oh yeah, I’m also thankful that I don’t have any more back pain – that was one of the most painfully annoying experiences of my life.

At the risk of a turkey hangover causing readers’ disinterest in this blog post, I’ll keep this one short and sweet. Back pain is a pain in the, well, you know… Pinched nerves, slipped disks, muscle pain – it’s debilitating! If you’re a very active person like me, it’s one of those things that can absolutely ruin your day, or worse, your weekend!

Regardless of how you developed the pain, Low Level Laser Therapy may be the not-so-obvious answer to your problems. If you’re committed to the therapy, there’s a good chance that you will feel relief before too long. Our most recent patient, whose pain arose from an auto accident, felt relief after just 8 treatments. Low Level Laser Therapy is painless, non-invasive, and is covered by most extended health insurance plans. Furthermore, the more frequently patients receive the treatment, the quicker the results seem to appear.

How does it work? The laser isn’t what cures the pain – it doesn’t “zap away” the problems. What it does is direct a low-powered beam of infrared light into the areas of pain and increases blood flow to the site of injury,
stimulating your body to start it’s own healing process. It doesn’t hurt, and we, along with many other patients, are proof that this treatment does work when done properly.

Our commitment to creating a personalized treatment plan will hopefully lead to the cessation of your back pain and keep you active throughout the year. Just because it’s fall, doesn’t mean that the activity stops – ski
season is just around the corner! Stay tuned…
